Tiffany Young, Byun Yo-han now legally married ahead of wedding
On Feb. 27, Byun Yo-han’s agency, Team Hope, announced that the two stars have registered their marriage.
"Actors Tiffany Young and Byun Yo-han registered their marriage today based on their deep trust and love for each other."
Under Article 812 (Formation of Marriage) of Korea’s Civil Act, “A marriage shall take effect by reporting in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Registration, etc. of Family Relationship.”
Korea’s National Court Administration explained in an online post that “in South Korea, a marriage takes effect by reporting following the Act on the Registration of Family Relationships. In other words, even if a wedding is held, it is not legally recognized if the marriage is not reported to the relevant authorities. The report of marriage shall be submitted in writing with co-signatures of both parties and two adult witnesses. The report of the abovementioned marriage is a report with an effect of creation, under which a change in a person’s status becomes effective when the report is accepted.”
Team Hope said, "We are cautious about sharing the news, fearing that some may feel fatigued, but the two actors have always expressed a desire to be the first to share the news with their fans, who have always shown their love, and we respect that sentiment and are making this announcement."
About the wedding ceremony between Tiffany Young and Byun Yo-han, the agency said, "However, no specific time or location has been confirmed yet. They are carefully considering a simple wedding ceremony, likely a service, with their families to share their gratitude. As they embark on a new journey in life, they will remember the support and love they have received and strive to repay it with a more mature attitude."
"We sincerely thank you for your interest, and we ask for your warm support so that the two can walk firmly in love,” it said.
Last December, Tiffany Young and Byun Yo-han admitted that they were in a romantic relationship and said they were planning to get married.
"The two actors are currently seriously dating with marriage in mind,” Team Hope said.
Tiffany Young and Byun Yo-han first met when they worked together in the Disney+ original “Uncle Samsik,” which premiered in May 2024.
Tiffany is a member of K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation, which debuted in 2007. She branched out into acting, appearing in “Reborn Rich” and “Uncle Samsik.” She also starred in the musical “Chicago.”
