The grand street dancing competition of the 30th Panagbenga Festival will be held in Baguio City on Feb. 28.
Eight contingents are competing – Lamut Harvest Festival Dance of Ifugao; Pagibang Damara Festival of San Jose, Nueva Ecija; Tribu Balitok a Pagey of Malasique, Pangasinan; Tribu Bagtas, Alisto SDO of Santo Domingo, Ilocos Sur; Tribu Bannuar Ilocandia of Balaoan, La Union; Tribu Eulogiano-Baggak Festival of Bauang, La Union; Tribu Siglat of Pugo, La Union, and Tribu Kanluran Jones-PiniUsa Festival of Jones, Isabela.
They will showcase their street dancing skills from Session to Harrison Road and the Melvin Jones Football ground for the final showdown presentation.
Guest of honor and speaker is Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon.
Six contingents – Tuba Central School Drum and Lyre Corps, Pugo Central School, El Tribu D’Lucban Elementary School, Baguio Central School, Lucban Elementary School, Puguis Elementary School, and Mabini Elementary School – will continue their performance from the elementary drum and lyre street dancing competition on Feb. 1.
Theme of this year’s Panagbenga is Blooming Without End.
