P510K shabu seized in Marikina buy-bust

Illegal drugs worth around P510,000 were confiscated from two drug suspects during a buy-bust operation in Marikina City on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

The Marikina City Police Station identified the suspects as “Ky,” 23, and “Joshua,” 28. They were arrested during the operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) in Barangay Marikina Heights at around 10:20 p.m.
During the operation, authorities seized nine heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing around 75 grams of a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
The suspects are currently detained at the Marikina City Police Station Custodial Facility and will face charges for violation of Article II, Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
The Marikina CPS reiterated its commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations to ensure the safety and security of the community. It also encouraged the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
