More than 2,100 residents benefited from free medical services provided by the Caloocan City government as part of its 64th Cityhood Anniversary celebration.
According to the city’s Public Information Office, the services were delivered by the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC), Caloocan City North Medical Center (CCNMC), and the City Health Department (CHD).
CCMC conducted its weeklong activity from Feb. 9 to 13, while CCNMC held its program from Feb. 16 to 20.
The CHD also organized a One-Stop Shop Community-Based Health Services program in local health centers in North and South Caloocan.
Residents availed themselves of free x-rays, breast ultrasounds, dental and eye check-ups, electrocardiograms (ECG), bone scans, and other medical consultations.
Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan thanked the hospitals and the CHD for supporting the city’s health initiatives and reiterated the local government’s commitment to providing accessible and quality healthcare.
It is no secret that the city government gives high priority to delivering free and quality health services to our constituents. That is why I thank CCMC, CCNMC, and CHD for continuously responding to our directive),” Malapitan said
We want to ensure that every day, the health needs of our Batang Kankaloo are met. We ask for your support for the initiatives of our hospitals, local health centers, and the entire city government),” he added.
The local government also added that free services such as prenatal care, immunization for children, and medical and dental consultations remain available at community health centers in the city.
