The 7-foot Slaughter collected 37 points, 15 rebounds, and four blocks - proving he still can compete at a high level as he continues to get in shape for a possible return to the PBA.
“It was very fun, thank you to ko Adamson for a very fun game. They competed hard. Credit to my teammates too for stepping up. It was a lot of fun today,” said the 37-year-old Slaughter.

Slaughter said it’s important for him to be in tip-top shape just in case he gets the green light to play in the PBA again, he is ready to come out of retirement.
“Stay in shape, stay ready. We’re all basketball players. You see a lot of guys have been retired for a long time, but they’re still in shape ready to play. It goes to show, this is what we do,” said Slaughter, who two UAAP titles with Ateneo in 2011 and 2012 before he turned professional as he was selected No. 1 overall by Ginebra during the 2013 PBA Rookie Draft.
The win improved the win-loss record of the Blue Eagles to 3-2, behind the unblemished 5-0 card of the Letran Knights, while the Falcons fell to 1-3, tied at the bottom of the standings with the University of the East Red Warriors.
Jai Reyes also had a solid game for the Blues Eagles as he scattered 28 points on 11-of-20 shooting from the field, including 6-of-12 from the three-point territory with five rebounds and four assists, while Nico Salva added 15 points.
