Cebu Landmasters appoints Paquita Rafols as new CFO after Cheng resigns
Visayas-Mindanao (VisMin) developer Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) announced the resignation of its Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Beauregard Grant L. Cheng for personal reasons and the appointment of Paquita Rafols as his replacement.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Friday, Feb. 27, the firm said its board of directors held a special meeting earlier in the day to approve the appointment of Rafols effective March 31, 2026.
Cheng has served as CLI’s CFO since 2019 and, during his tenure, has played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s financial position, capital structure, and capital markets engagement, including its initial public offering (IPO).
“The company extends its sincere gratitude to him for his leadership and service and looks forward to his continued role as director, where he will remain engaged in strategic finance matters,” CLI said.
Rafols has been with CLI for six years and currently serves as vice president for accounting and tax, where she has strengthened CLI’s financial controls, compliance standards, and reporting processes while building a disciplined, high-performing team.
She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Accounting, from Saint Theresa’s College (STC). She also earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from University of San Carlos (USC).
A certified public accountant (CPA) with over 40 years of experience in finance and accounting, she previously held senior leadership roles across Aboitiz Group, including positions in corporate services, accounting, and controllership.
Earlier in her career, she was a managing consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), handling audit, management, and tax advisory engagements. Rafols is also an ISO 9002-certified auditor.
