During a set visit to "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda" at GMA Network on Feb. 26, Boy recalled having a memorable meal with Kris on Valentine's Day—her birthday—where they joyfully discussed Bimby's bright future.
"Hindi man kami nagkikita ng madalas, but she makes sure I am in the loop. Nag-uusap kami, especially about Bimby." (We may not see each other often, but she always keeps me updated. We talk, especially about Bimby.) Boy considers himself Bimby's self-appointed guardian. "I was there on Feb. 14 and shared a meal with Kris. She gained some weight, and she's truly on the road to recovery," he added.
Boy added, "I am open to recording a podcast with her if my contract allows. But her health always comes first. She's getting stronger each day. In the US, I saw her at 82 pounds. Later, she happily texted me that her weight had increased to 114. May rashes pa rin siya." (She still has some rashes.)
Recently, Kris mentioned her intent to entrust Bimby to someone she deeply trusts, though she didn't reveal who. Many are hopeful she might be referring to her close friend, Boy.

"Kung ako man tinatanggap ko pero kung hindi ako, tutulong pa rin ako. I am very settled about my relationship with Kris. Hindi na kami mga bagets. Ang daming stages ng aming relasyon." (If it's me, I wholeheartedly accept it. If not, I will still gladly help. I am very secure in my friendship with Kris. We are no longer young, and our relationship has gone through many beautiful chapters.) Boy added, "If someone else takes care of Bimby, that's okay, but I will always be present in his life."
When asked if Bimby might be a guest on his show, Boy responded, "I would love to. Pag-uusapan namin ni Kris. Tignan natin. But that would be a difficult interview. He's very bright. Ang showbiz at politics ang nananalaytay sa dugo ng bata." (I would love to. Kris and I will discuss it. We'll see. It would be a challenging interview—Bimby is so bright. Showbiz and politics truly run in his veins.)
"Sa US bumigay ako when he was in total control. Kinakarga niya ang nanay niya at inilipat. I am proud of the way Kris raised the boy. He is very curious. He says what's in his heart. Sinasabi talaga niya. Derecho siya," Boy shared. (In the US, I was deeply moved by how responsible he was. He cared for his mother and carried her without hesitation. I am truly proud of how Kris raised him. Bimby is naturally curious and always speaks his heart. He genuinely expresses himself and is admirably straightforward.)
Bimby, now 18, is one of Kris Aquino's two beloved children. Her eldest, Joshua, is 30.
Boy has renewed his collaboration with GMA Network. Starting March 2, his top-rated talk show, "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," will make a vibrant return to its original 4:45 p.m. time slot.

'House of Hosts'
Aside from hosting, Boy devotes time to the House of Hosts, a nurturing community of young talents who host events like weddings, birthdays, and pageants. He dreams of finally building a welcoming space where future hosts can be trained and inspired.
"Meron na akong syllabus on public speaking, which I co-wrote. Before, handbooks lang eh. But now I have a syllabus. Pangarap ko yun. Isang maliit na bahay where you give classes." (I now have a syllabus on public speaking, which I co-authored. Before, we only had handbooks. But now, it's a real syllabus. That's my dream—a small house where we can teach classes.)," he shared.
"We have been discussing starting a small training school together. I can take care of communications or public speaking, while others in the team can focus on acting," Boy said, expressing his excitement for the future.
He also said, "Ginagaya namin si Ricky (Lee) na kami muna ang nagbabayad o nagpapakain. Kung ano man yung pangangailangan. But eventually, I want to do business para maging sustainable ito." (We're following Ricky Lee's example, taking care of everyone's needs first—whether that's paying or providing food. In time, I hope to turn it into a business that will sustain itself and help even more people.)," he said with hope.
