Abandoned baby discovered in Tacloban City

TACLOBAN CITY – Elementary pupils found an abandoned infant in the playground outside the Tacloban City Convention Center on Friday, Feb. 27.
The baby, wrapped in cloth and placed inside a bag, was found under a bench and They immediately called for help after seeing that the infant was still alive.
Police and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) rescued the infant and one of the responding police officers who was also a mother breastfed the hungry baby while awaiting proper care and assistance.
Authorities are determining the identity of the person who left the baby.
