Napolcom recognizes 33 Bulacan police officers for successful missions

National Police Commission (Napolcom) Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer Rafael Vicente Calinisan led the recognition of 33 police officers across Bulacan for their successful operations and case resolutions on Thursday, Feb. 26, at Camp General Alejo Santos in Malolos, Bulacan.
Calinisan was joined by BPPO Provincial Director Col. Angel L. Garcillano in awarding certificates of commendation to officers from the following units: Malolos City Police (3); Marilao (3); Santa Maria (3); Provincial Intelligence Unit (4); Baliwag City (3); 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (3); Meycauayan City (3); Bustos (3); San Rafael (2); Calumpit (3); and the City of San Jose Del Monte Police (3).
The commissioner lauded the awardees, calling them the “action stars” of the Bulacan police.
He also reiterated his hope of personally extending his gratitude to at least half of the country’s police population before his term ends in 2031.
“Ang plano ko, makamayan ang [kahit] kalahati ng kapulisan bago ako umalis. Gusto kong iparamdam sa lahat ng pulis na ‘yung Napolcom [ay] kakampi ninyo,” (My plan is to shake hands with [at least] half of the police force before I leave. I want all police officers to feel that Napolcom [is] on your side), Calinisan said.
As a gesture of transparency, Calinisan shared his personal contact number with attendees, encouraging officers to reach out with requests, concerns, or policy suggestions.
“You may contact me if you [want to] inform me about anything—na nag-request kayo ng personal, ihingan, may gusto kayong polisiyang dapat baguhin, may suggestion kayo na ano ba’ng dapat gawin sa PNP o dapat baguhin sa Napolcom,” (that you have made a personal request, need assistance, want a policy changed, or have suggestions on what should be done or revised in the PNP or Napolcom), he added.
Calinisan also reminded criminology interns at the BPPO that wearing the police uniform and holding authority are not licenses for arrogance, especially toward the people they will serve in the future.
“Pakiusap ko since we’re doing things for you, [ay] let’s serve our people. And when I say serve our people, I say serve them humbly. Hindi lisensiya ‘yung uniporme sa kayabangan. Hindi lisensiya ang kapangyarihan sa kayabangan,” he said.
Calinisan also witnessed the unveiling of new BPPO facility markers at the camp, including the renovated Kabalikat Hall Conference Room, the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Chapel, the Kabalikat ‘98 Activity Center, the relocated Bulacan PPO flagpole, and the Kabalikat ‘98 Multi-purpose Lobby.
