The city government of Pasay donated modern IT equipment in support of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) during the official launch of its Fire Safety Inspection System (FSIS) Hub on Feb. 24.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano also participated in the ceremonial signing of the Deed of Usufruct, symbolizing the continued commitment and collaborative efforts of the city government and the BFP to ensure that Pasayeños receive efficient and reliable public service.
Rubiano said the donation aims to further enhance the Bureau’s operational capabilities, enabling faster coordination, improved documentation, and a more efficient emergency response.
The mayor emphasized that equipping firefighters with better tools and resources directly contributes to quicker and more effective action during emergencies and disasters.
She added that with improved systems in place, response time can be reduced and public service delivery significantly enhanced.
Rubiano also expressed her deep appreciation for the dedication, courage, and sacrifice of Pasay’s firefighters, recognizing their crucial role in safeguarding lives and property.
The BFP Fire Safety Inspection System (FSIS) Hub reflects the bureau’s commitment to providing efficient, transparent, and technology-driven fire safety services to the business community and the general public.
The newly inaugurated hub houses the Customer Relations Office, Plan Evaluation Unit Office, and an FSIS kiosk within an approximately 46-square-meter, fully air-conditioned facility.
Outfitted with modern information and communications technology (ICT) systems, the hub enables clients to apply for, monitor, and secure fire safety requirements through a unified, real-time digital platform.
The system also provides real-time monitoring of Fire Code fee collections, inspection status, and certificate issuance—strengthening transparency, efficiency, and accountability.
