Eya Laure made a strong comeback after missing the previous match due to aggravated groin and abdominal injuries, entering the second set and delivering an impressive 18 points highlighted by 14 kills and two blocks.
She joined forces with Sisi Rondina, who poured all her 18 points on attacks.
The win finally snapped Choco Mucho’s three-game slump and improved to 2-3 to tie with their victims.
Lorraine Pecana also shone for the Flying Titans, posting four blocks and four aces to finish with 15 points, even as Dindin Manabat and Des Cheng chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Galeries Tower tried to stifle Choco Mucho’s attacks with a rock-solid net defense led by Jean Asis and Roselle Baliton, but the powerful spikes of Laure and Rondina proved unstoppable.
Overall, the Highrisers managed 13 blocks -- including five from Asis -- but it was still not enough to slow down the Flying Titans’ offense as the latter fired 60 kills.
Erika Deloria scored 19 points, while Asis had 15 in a futile attempt for Galeries Tower.
