CEBU CITY – A group of Boholanos who aced their licensure examinations received cash incentives from the provincial government.
The granting of P1.45 million in cash incentives to 28 successful examinees was made through the Education Development Center and Provincial Ordinance No. 2023-001 or the Boholano Topnotcher Incentive Ordinance.
Gov. Erico Aristotle Aumentado and Vice Gov. Nicanor Besas awarded the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Resolution of Commendation for Exemplary Achievement and cash incentives to the Boholano topnotchers.
The Boholano topnotchers who took the licensure examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission from September 2025 to January 2026 were Niña Thea Rose T. Bastes (BISU-Tagbilaran), Mary Dionisia T. Pogoy (BISU-Tagbilaran), Nessa Noreen C. Soliva (BISU-Tagbilaran), and Pearl Angelie C. Crusat (BISU-Calape), who all ranked eighth overall in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers Secondary Level. They received P50,000 each.
Chery Mae C. Inting (Bohol Wisdom College) and Jean Venus R. Pineda (Mater Dei College-Tubigon) also got P50,000 each after they placed ninth in the examination.
Placing 10th in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers Secondary Level, Renalou N. Cabajog (Cristal e-College-Panglao); Rhussel James C. Amad (BISU-Clarin); Keiren Eunice Jeremie D. Juit (BISU-Tagbilaran); Nelia P. Pondoc (BISU-Tagbilaran); Marianne S. Torreon (BISU-Tagbilaran); and Niño A. Sanchez (Buenavista Community College), also received P50,000.
Davon Anthony G. Boyonas (Cebu Technological University) was also given P50,000 for placing eighth in elementary level.
Alessandra C. Abrau (UP-Manila), who ranked third in the Speech-Language Pathologist Licensure Examination, received P75,000.
Jayan Derika B. Lerion (University of San Carlos-Cebu), who ranked seventh in the pharmacist exam, and Princess Sybil B. Doroy (Visayas State University-Leyte), who wound up seventh in the Nurses Licensure Examination, received P50,000 each.
Both placing eighth in the Nurses Licensure Examination, Gwynneth P. Ticong (Cebu Doctors University) and Byron L. Chu (Cebu Normal University), received P50,000 each. Ninth placer Mikah Ella H. Ofamin (University of Bohol) and 10th pacers Earlgen A. Bucog (University of Bohol), Ryza Charlene A. Ligutan (Holy Name University), Sofia Cris T. Vitor (Xavier University-Cagayan de Oro City), and Marielle Eliza A. Mascariñas (Cebu Normal University), were given P50,000 each.
Irene May P. Robles (Southwestern University-Cebu) received P75,000 for placing third in the Licensure Examination for Dentists.
Receiving P50,000 each were Rochell G. Galope (Southwestern University-Cebu) and Steffi Zen B. Villas (Southwestern University-Cebu) who ranked sixth and seventh in the Licensure Examination for Dentists.
Christelle Nina Sale (Velez College-Cebu), seventh placer in the Occupational Therapists Licensure Examination, and Maria Lourdes R. Agoot (BISU-Tagbilaran), eighth placer in the Licensure Examination for Architects, got P50,000 each.
Aumentado said they deserved the commendation and cash incentives for putting in the needed hard work and bringing honor to the province.
“We are very proud that you have made it and have taken your place among the best achievers in the board examinations you pursued,” said Aumentado.
