2 men gunned down in Ilocos Norte

Two men were shot dead minutes after leaving a cockpit arena in Badoc, Ilocos Norte on Wednesday night, Feb. 25.
Police Col. Joemar Q. Labiano, Ilocos Norte police chief, identified the victims as Erwin D. Rondal, 60, and James Fernandez, 41.
Investigation said the victims were ambushed by gunmen onboard a white Toyota Innova and a black pickup truck in Barangay Paltit.
The suspects fled and the victims were declared dead in a hospital.
Recovered from the area and victims’ vehicles were guns, bullets, empty bullet shells, and four deformed fired bullets.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation and have identified persons of interest.
