Korean actor and singer Ok Taecyeon, 37, will be getting married to his longtime girlfriend in April, according to a news report.

Korean media outlet SPOTV reported on Feb. 25 that Taecyeon will tie the knot with his girlfriend on April 24 in Seoul. The bride-to-be, a non-celebrity, is four years younger than him.

He will become the second member of K-pop boy band 2PM to get married after Hwang Chan-sung in 2021.

Last Nov. 1, Taecyeon announced that he would get married to his girlfriend this year.

“It's already been 19 years since I debuted with 2PM. Starting with the program ‘Superstar Survival’ at the age of 19, you've been with me for so long, and I've been able to get to where I am today thanks to your continued support. I felt it was my duty to be the first to share my news with you, who have always loved and supported me,” he told fans.

He announced, “I've promised to spend the rest of my life with the one person who has understood and believed in me for so long. We will be each other's strong supporters and walk together through life together.”

In June 2020, Taecyeon admitted their relationship after they were seen on a date in Pyeongchang in Gangwon Province in South Korea.

Taecyeon’s agency, 51K, announced then that “the wedding will be held privately next Spring, attended only by family and close friends. Please understand that as the bride-to-be is a non-celebrity, further details will be kept private.”

In February last year, the photo of Taecyeon’s girlfriend was revealed when their photos taken in Paris spread online.

The photos of Taecyeon and his girlfriend were taken near the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris in April 2024.

A group of photographers in Paris issued an explanation and apology after the photos spread online.

“The photos of Taec-yeon and his girlfriend were discovered yesterday here on our photography profile in Paris. Since then, we have been receiving many messages about this. The fact is that we did their session last year, WITHOUT KNOWING WHO THEY WERE! Honestly, there was no intention of exposing their lives,” the group said.

They said Taecyeon and his girlfriend did not request that the photos be kept private.

“Until yesterday, we did not know that they were a big Korean celebrity. They booked the session as a regular person and there was never any contact beyond what we have with any regular client, and there was never a request for the photos not to be published,” they said.

They said the photos were on their Instagram account since April 2024.

“That is why we posted the photos as we always do with our clients, with no intention of exposing them or gaining visibility for it, so much so that the photos were public since April 2024. When the photos were published, we did not mention his name in any way, it was just a sequence of photos that we innocently found beautiful and inspiring,” they said.

The group added, “We are truly surprised and shocked by this embarrassing situation. I have already sent my apology to Taec and his girlfriend, and I now publicly apologize sincerely. There was never any intention to expose your relationship or your girlfriend’s face.”

“As soon as we realized what was happening, we immediately archived the photos, but they had already been shared by several people. We have NEVER sent these photos to anyone and we will NOT send them! Please respect this and do not insist on this,” they explained.

The group of photographers take photos of couples for a fee.
