PCSO backs 'The Lotto Winner'; highlights hope, charity behind every lottery ticket
The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Wednesday, February 25, expressed strong support for the upcoming film The Lotto Winner, saying the movie reflects the hope, resilience, and life-changing possibilities associated with the Philippine lottery.
In a statement, PCSO said the film, produced by MAVX Productions, goes beyond the story of sudden wealth and instead explores family, healing, and the deeper meaning of winning.
Directed by RC delos Reyes, the movie stars veteran actor Albert Martinez and actress Kylie Padilla. The film was shot in Canberra, Australia, and follows the emotional journey of an estranged father and daughter whose relationship is tested and transformed after a life-changing lottery win.

Film reflects Filipino dreams and resilience
PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles said the movie captures the real-life impact of lottery winnings on ordinary Filipinos.
“This film beautifully exemplifies the transformative power of the lottery for everyday Filipinos,” Robles said.
“Behind every winning ticket lies a narrative of courage, hope, and the potential for change. It’s a reminder that in our darkest hours, a miracle—big or small—is always possible,” he added.

According to PCSO, the film highlights how, while money can improve one’s circumstances, healing, forgiveness, and love remain the true measures of success.
Block screening highlights PCSO mission
To celebrate the film’s message, PCSO hosted an exclusive block screening on Feb. 24 at SM Megamall Cinema for its employees and partners.
The agency said the event was meant to inspire viewers and reinforce its broader mission of uplifting communities, noting that lottery revenues help fund charity programs, medical assistance, and public welfare initiatives.
PCSO emphasized that its role goes beyond operating lottery games, stressing that each ticket purchased contributes to programs that support Filipinos in need.
Beyond winning: A story of life and purpose
PCSO said the film serves as a reminder that while a jackpot can provide financial security, personal growth and relationships ultimately define a meaningful life.
Through its partnership with the film, the agency hopes to promote not only entertainment but also its advocacy of hope, compassion, and community support.
“The Lotto Winner,” PCSO said, reflects the Filipino spirit—where every dream, no matter how small, carries the promise of transformation.
