Kylie Padilla on father Sen. Robin Padilla running for Vice President in 2028: 'Aalis na 'ko ng Pilipinas'
Actress Kylie Padilla has reacted to reports that Sen. Robin Padilla will run for Vice President in the 2028 national elections.
"Aalis na 'ko ng Pilipinas. (I am leaving the Philippines)," Kylie jokingly said in an interview, as reported in a TV5 News video.
Then she continued, "I have no reaction but aalis na 'ko ng Pilipinas. (I am leaving the Philippines)"
Kylie continued laughing and said, "Aalis na po ako ng Pilipinas. Yun lang po ang comment ko. (I'm leaving the Philippines. That's my comment.) I trust in my father's judgement. Yun lang."
A few moments later, Kylie said in a post on X that her reaction was not meant to insult her father.
"I only meant that aalis po ako ng Pilipinas kasi gusto ko ng tahimik na buhay. It was not a comment meant to insult my father, because I trust in his judgment and in all the good he is doing for this country.
"But I think it is also my right to know what kind of life I want to live. And that it is a quiet, peaceful life. Yun lang po," Kylie said.
