Farmer, carabao electrocuted to death

TACLOBAN CITY — A 67-year-old farmer and his carabao were electrocuted to death in Barangay Bantigue, Ormoc City, Leyte on Wednesday.
Police identified the victim as Turning.
Initial investigation disclosed Turning left the carabao to pasture in the area.
The carabao’s rope touched a live wire connected to a submersible water pump installed by the barangay on a river and the animal was electrocuted.
The victim was also electrocuted when he retrieved the animal. Their remains were discovered after some time as the area can only be reached by walking and inaccessible by vehicle.
