Police arrested a female teacher in Dagupan City for alleged child abuse.
The suspect was apprehended on Tuesday on a warrant issued by a court on Monday.
Police said the arrest of the suspect was recorded using body-worn cameras.
Dagupan police chief Police Col. Arnold P. Solomon said that the arrest sends a strong message that no one is above the law, especially when the safety of children is at stake.
The suspect is detained at the Dagupan police custodial facility while awaiting legal proceedings for violating Republic Act 7610, the law that protects children from abuse and exploitation. Bail was set at P80,000.
