Three men, including two high-value individuals (HVIs), were arrested after authorities seized around P4,080,000 worth of shabu and a gun in separate buy-bust operations in Pasig City on Tuesday night, Feb. 24.
The Pasig City Police Station (Pasig CPS) Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested the suspects following the operations conducted in Barangays Kapasigan and Sto. Tomas. The suspects were identified as “Clyde” and “Ton-ton,” both HVIs, and “Chauncey.”
Authorities recovered a total of 600 grams of suspected shabu and a 9mm caliber pistol from the suspects.
They are now under police custody and will face charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, and Republic Act 10591.
The Pasig CPS said the successful operations were the result of persistent monitoring and operational research. It added that the operations align with the Philippine National Police’s focused agenda and the NCRPO’s Triple “A” Program.
“This operation is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of Team Pasig Elite. We will continue to work tirelessly with the Local Government Unit and community partners to ensure that Pasig City remains a safe and secure place for its residents,” Pasig CPS Chief Col. Hendrix Mangaldan said.
