Eighteen former Marines who previously worked and served as personnel for businessman Zaldy Co publicly came forward on Tuesday, Feb. 24, to confirm the allegations of delivering suitcases filled with cash to the residences of Co, President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., and former House Speaker and Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez.
In a press conference held in San Juan City, pork barrel fund scam whistleblower Atty. Levi Baligod presented the men, who claimed to reveal the truth behind corruption in the national government and corroborate the testimony of Orly Guteza.
Guteza, first introduced by Sen. Rodante Marcoleta during the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearings in September 2025, had testified he was one of the men who personally delivered suitcases containing approximately P48 million each to high-ranking officials.
During the event, the 18 men confirmed Guteza's account, stating that they coordinated deliveries through a group chat detailing recipients, destinations, and amounts.
"Nakapag-deliver po kami sa 41 Forbes po. Meron din po sa Ilocos, kasama po si Cong. Zaldy. Sa Ilocos, limang maleta po (We have already delivered at 41 Forbes. There were also deliveries in Ilocos together with Cong. Zaldy. In Ilocos, were delivered five suitcases)," another witness added. Baligod clarified that the delivery was made at President Marcos' house in Paoay, Ilocos Norte.
