MPD said on Tuesday, Feb. 24, said as woman was on her way to work and unknowingly dropped her cellphone.
Upon realizing it was missing, she immediately sought help from officers of MPD Station 4’s España Police Community Precinct.
Acting without delay and under the leadership of MPD Station 4 Commander Joven Gerong, the responding officers utilized the phone’s GPS tracker, which indicated that the device had already reached the Tabora area in Divisoria.
Following standing instructions to promptly address public concerns, police personnel proceeded to the location while continuously attempting to contact the phone, which was already in the possession of a possible finder.
Through coordinated and persistent efforts, the officers were able to recover the cellphone and safely return it to its rightful owner.
The woman expressed her deep gratitude to the police, noting that the cellphone was a hard-earned and essential tool for her daily life.
She commended the officers for their dedication, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile to help her.
