Illegal recruiter wanted in Los Baños nabbed in Pasay

An illegal recruiter wanted in Los Baños was arrested by operatives of the Pasay City Police Substation 5 on Feb. 24.

Col. Joselito De Sesto, Pasay City Police chief, identified the suspect as Risa, 44, a resident of Bagcay, Talibon, Bohol. She was arrested at The Heritage Hotel Manila in Barangay 76, Pasay City.

De Sesto said Risa is facing charges for violation of Section 6, Paragraphs (L) and (M) of Republic Act 8042, as amended by Republic Act 10022, or the Migrant Workers and Overseas Filipinos Act of 1995.

The warrant of arrest was issued on Sept. 19, 2025 by Judge Rene Deveza Natividad of Los Baños Regional Trial Court Branch 107, with no bail recommended.

The suspect was turned over to the Warrant and Subpoena Section for documentation after her arrest. She is currently detained at the police custodial facility pending her commitment to the issuing court.
