Fleeing robbery suspect in Cavite jumps off window, hits tanod below

CAVITE – A fleeing robbery suspect in General Trias City fell was arrested after jumping off the window and landing on a barangay tanod below on Monday, Feb. 23.
A report from the Police Regional Office 4A identified the suspect as alias Daniel.
The initial investigation stated that alias Daniel allegedly entered the victim’s residence through an unlocked window and took the victim’s cell phone.
The victim caught the suspect in the act and immediately alerted the barangay.
Upon the arrival of responding barangay personnel, alias Daniel attempted to flee by jumping from a second-floor window of the house.
However, he fell onto a barangay tanod stationed below, injuring the latter.
Alias Daniel was collared and turned over to the General Trias Component City Police Station. The cell phone that he took was also recovered and returned to the victim.
The suspect is facing charges for robbery with physical injury.
