CEBU CITY – Several personnel were awarded when the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas (PRO-7) celebrated the Philippine National Police (PNP) Day 2026 on Monday, Feb. 23.
The activity was graced by Rafael Vicente Calinisan, vice chairman and National Police Commission (Napolcom) executive officer.
Police officers who showed exemplary performances last year were recognized.
Named Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration was Police Col. Regie Real, acting chief of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division.
Police Col. Kimberly Molitas, chief of the Regional Community Affairs Development Division, received the Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations award.
The Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration went to Police Lt. Col. Verniño Noserale, chief of the Naga City Police Station.
Recognized as the Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations was Police Lt. Col. Wilfredo Tanaran Jr. of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit.
Awarded as Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Administration was Police Executive Master Sgt. Mary Ruth Burlat of the regional headquarters while the Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer for Operations was given to Police Master Sgt. Joel Orapa of the Bohol Police Provincial Office.
The Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration award was given to Police Staff Sgt. Reynald Gimagan of the Mandaue City Police Office while the Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations accolade was awarded to Police Staff Sgt. Luwen Refulle of the Bohol Police Provincial Office.
Jessie Ogao-Ogao of the Cebu City Police Office Station 8 was named as the Best Non-Uniformed Personnel Non-Supervisory Level.
The Best Provincial Police Office in Central Visayas award was given to the Bohol Police Provincial Office while the Best City Police Office recognition was won by the Mandaue City Police Office.
The Best Component City Police Station was handed to the Tagbilaran City Police Station while the Best Municipal Police Station was Loon town in Bohol.
The Mobile Force Company of the Cebu City Police Office was named as the Best City Mobile Force Company while the Bohol Provincial Mobile Force Company was recognized as the Best Provincial Mobile Force Company.
The Regional Mobile Force Battalion-Central Visayas was also recognized.
Receiving the Outstanding Local Government Units awards were Bohol, Cebu and the tri-cities of Cebu, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu.
The Outstanding Component City award was given to Tagbilaran while the Outstanding Municipality was awarded to Ubay. Named as Outstanding Non-Government Organization was Code Red Movement for Christ.
In his message, Police Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan, chief of PRO-7, commended the more than 10,000 policemen in the region for making Central Visayas peaceful.
“The men and women of Police Regional Office-7 had stood firm in their duty to serve and protect the people of Central Visayas with pride. We recognize the many operational successes, crime reduction initiatives, and community partnership that made strengthen public trust and deliver results beyond expectations,” said Maranan.
