Parañaque cops arrest 2 suspects, seize P340K shabu in buy-bust

Operatives of the Parañaque City Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation and seized P340,000 worth of shabu.

The Southern Police District (SPD) identified the suspects as Gina, 27, a resident of Barangay Baclaran, and Jovanne, 43, a driver and resident of Barangay Moonwalk. They were arrested at San Juan de Costal, Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

Police said the suspects were caught selling one sachet of shabu to an undercover police operative, which led to their arrest.

Confiscated from the suspects were about 50 grams of shabu, including the sachet sold to the operative, with an estimated street value of P340,000.

The suspects are currently detained at the Parañaque City Police custodial facility and are facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
