The Makati City government has provided financial assistance to 23 local government units (LGUs) in Pangasinan affected by Tropical Cyclone “Uwan,” reaffirming its support for disaster-stricken communities.
Mayor Nancy Binay led the turnover of
assistance at Makati City Hall and said the city stands in solidarity with LGUs facing the impact of natural calamities.
The Province of Pangasinan and the municipalities of Alaminos, Anda, Basista, Bolinao, Bugallon, and Mangaldan each received P2 million.
Infanta and Urbiztondo were granted P1.5 million each, while Mangatarem received P1 million. Dasol and Labrador were allotted P500,000 each.
Meanwhile, Asingan, Balungao, Bautista, Burgos, Mabini, Mapandan, San Manuel, Santa Barbara, Sison, Sual, and Villasis each received P250,000.
City Treasurer Jesusa Cuneta and International Relations Department Officer-in-Charge Ginalyn Flores joined the turnover ceremony.
The city government said the assistance is intended to support ongoing relief and recovery operations in the affected areas.
