Korean singer-actress Kim Se-jeong meets Filipino fans anew, to reunite with I.O.I
Korean singer-actress Kim Se-jeong, who starred in last year’s historical K-drama “Moon River,” returned to the Philippines to meet her Filipino fans again.
Kim Se-jeong held her “Tenth Letter” to Manila Fan Concert on Feb. 21 at the New Frontier Theater, presented by Wilbros Live.
“Kamusta ka? Ako si Kim Sejeong. Namiss ko kayo sobra (How are you? I am Kim Sejeong. I missed you so much),” she greeted fans in Filipino.
During the show, she performed “Something New,” “Irony,” “Send A Letter,” “Solar System,” “Voyage,” “A Girl Like Me,” “The Boots,” “Flower Way,” “In the Rain,” “Whale,” “Skyline” and “Let's go home.”
Prior to her show, Kim Se-jeong visited places in the Cubao area including a market and hitting the swimming pool at her hotel.
In October 2023, she held her first concert in Manila at the same venue.
Last December, Kim Se-jeong released her first single album, “Solar System,” a remake of "Solar System (태양계)” by Sung Si Kyung, which was originally released in 2011.
It was her first music release since her first full album, “Door,” released back in 2023.
Kim Se-jeong debuted in 2016 in the project K-pop girl group I.O.I. and later joined Gugudan.
On Feb. 23, Korean agency Swing Entertainment announced that I.O.I, formed through the survival audition TV show “Produce 101,” will make a comeback to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
"I.O.I (Lim Na-young, Chungha, Kim Se-jeong, Jung Chae-yeon, Kim So-hye, Yoo Yeon-jung, Choi Yoo-jung, Kim Do-yeon, and Jeon So-mi) has confirmed a comeback in May. They are currently preparing a new album." the agency said.
Swing Entertainment will be in charge of I.O.I's management and oversee their comeback promotions through this 10th anniversary project.
Of the 11 members, Kang Mina and Zhou Jieqiong will not participate due to their schedule.
In addition to the album, I.O.I. will also embark on an Asia tour, including a concert in Seoul.
