Hershey Philippines has launched a limited-edition packaging campaign for Valentine’s Day and International Women’s Day, pairing its chocolate bars with digital personalization features.
Called “Love for Every Bar,” the campaign introduces QR-enabled wrappers that link buyers to an online platform where they can create customized messages and digital cards. The initiative follows previous brand efforts such as “Celebrate #HerSHE” and “She Inspires,” which highlighted women’s achievements and stories.
Through the microsite, users can upload photos and generate personalized e-cards. One option converts uploaded images into cartoon-style avatars powered by artificial intelligence. Senders may add a short message that the animated character delivers in a downloadable digital card.
Another feature uses augmented reality. Recipients can scan the physical chocolate bar to unlock preset AR messages designed to appear through a mobile device.
The company said the campaign aims to combine traditional gifting with digital interaction, allowing consumers to personalize messages for loved ones and women they wish to recognize during the occasions.
The limited-edition “Love for Every Bar” chocolates are available in leading supermarkets and grocery stores nationwide. The personalization platform may be accessed through the QR code on participating bars or via the campaign website.
