TACLOBAN CITY – Twenty-one indigent elderlies received post-Valentine’s Day gifts from the Police Regional Office-8 Press Corps in partnership with the Police Regional Office-8 in Padre Burgos, Southern Leyte over the weekend.
The activity was part of the PRO-8 Press Corps’ advocacy to build relationship between people, media, and police.
Padre Burgos police chief Police Major Glenn Michael Amoyen thanked over 20 media practitioners from Eastern Visayas who gathered to show importance to the elderlies.
“We are thankful that our elderlies were given focus in this program so that even at their age, they feel that they are loved and valued, especially during this love month,” he said.
Beneficiaries received groceries, hygiene products, and wellness kits and were entertained by media practitioners during the program.
The activity tagged as “Gasa sa Gugma alang kang Lolo ug Lola” is the PRO-8 Press Corps’ third leg of outreach programs in the six provinces and two city provincial offices in the region.
