ILOILO CITY – The Commission on Population and Development-6 (Western Visayas) is among the top-performing offices of the agency.
The CPD-6 under Harold Alfred Marshall was awarded as the second top-performing regional office during the CPD’s 57th founding anniversary this month.
“This national recognition affirms CPD-6’s unwavering dedication to delivering responsive, innovative, and people-centered population and development programs across Western Visayas. It reflects the region’s strong performance, collaborative governance, and commitment to advancing inclusive and sustainable development outcomes,” the CPD-6 said in a statement.
The CPD-6 partnered with local government units (LGUs), other government agencies, and civil society to promote population and development policies in Aklan, Antique Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo provinces as well as the regional capital of Iloilo.
The CPD-6 awarded the provincial government of Iloilo as the Most Outstanding Local Government Unit in Localizing the Population and Development (PopDev) last year.
