Newborn boy abandoned in Isabela

A newborn baby boy with his umbilical cord still attached was found Monday morning, Feb. 23, in Barangay Ambatali, Ramon, Isabela.
Police said a concerned citizen passing through the area discovered the baby wrapped in a green blanket.
The baby was placed on a plastic basin on top of a concrete barrier on the side of a creek.
He reported his discovery to barangay officials who coordinated with the police who ensured the safety of the infant.
The baby is under the care of the Ramon Rural Health Unit
Birthing Center where he is receiving necessary medical attention while awaiting proper disposition by appropriate authorities.
Police appealed to the public for information about the baby to
ensure his welfare and hold those responsible for leaving him accountable.
