Actress Karla Estrada is filled with pride as she shares that her son, actor Daniel Padilla, is ready to embrace bigger responsibilities and build a life of his own. She describes Daniel as responsible and mature, fully prepared to stand on his own.

"At any moment, Daniel is ready to build a family of his own," Karla said, confidently giving her blessing for her son's next chapter during the launch of her endorsement for W Express PH in Makati City.

Karla shared that she realized her son was ready to stand on his own even before the pandemic began.

"Even before the pandemic, Daniel was already mature beyond his years. He’s always had a unique perspective, a wealth of ideas, and a sense of responsibility far beyond his age. He learned life’s important lessons early, which shaped him into the remarkable person he is today."

"At just 15, Daniel entered the industry and quickly realized the realities of our family situation. I raised my children with honesty and awareness, never with pretense. That foundation gave Daniel the strength and vision to help lead our family with heart and dedication," she said.

Karla added, "Did I let him fly? A long time ago. By the time I saw he was responsible with his money, his work, and his life, I entrusted him with his wings."

"He was set free and spread his wings a long time ago. I made my children responsible early in life, so I have no worries," she added.

Karla said her son has not mentioned getting married, but the celebrity mom said she has given her blessing for him to start his own family.

"For many years, even as a young man, Daniel devoted himself to supporting our family. He gave his all, building our home with an unwavering heart and selfless dedication.

"Serving and helping your family isn't tiring. It comes from within you. What is tiring is not seeing your family members grow—the ones who don't strive and just depend on you. That's what's tiring and saddening. Actually, I've already covered almost everything; Daniel only had about 20 percent left to do," Karla said.

Daniel, now 30, is rumored to be in a relationship with Kaila Estrada. While they have been seen together on several occasions, both have chosen to keep their personal lives private.

When asked about Daniel's past mistakes, Karla responded with wisdom and compassion: "Only Daniel can truly answer that, as he alone knows his own journey. As parents, it is not our place to judge, but to guide and support our children with understanding."

Karla raised her four children — Daniel, Carmela, Margaret, and Jose Carlito — as a single parent. Recently, Carmela began her career in showbiz after signing with Star Magic. Karla has openly shared that she is actively involved in her children's endorsements, helping them make thoughtful decisions.

"Absolutely, especially when Daniel was just starting out. I made sure to guide him closely, wanting the best for him and ensuring we made choices that truly mattered," Karla explained.

"It's so important that what we endorse carries real substance. I believe that the products we support can genuinely make a difference in people’s lives," she added.

"I was always hands-on, but now, I’ve given Daniel the freedom to think, choose, and make his own decisions about his work, including his endorsements. I trust him to make choices that reflect his values and aspirations," Karla added.
