Ellen Adarna on Derek Ramsay being a good provider: Let's stop being delusional
By Neil Ramos
If there’s one thing Ellen Adarna will not allow, it’s creative accounting—especially when it involves her child.
The actress went full throttle on social media after hearing ex-husband, Derek Ramsay, described as a “good provider” to their daughter, Lili.
The trigger? Commentary from showbiz mainstay Cristy Fermin claiming Derek and his mother were covering household staff and the child’s allowance.
To Ellen, that version of events needed correcting and pronto.
“Let’s stop being delusional,” she wrote.
“Credit should always be given where it is due.”
She said financial support came only after she drew a firm line. “Last month, I told his (assistant), ‘No sustento, no Lili. That’s simple.’”
She added that she would not allow “a father to live comfortably just cooling his balls while contributing little to nothing for his child.”
Subtle? No.
To be fair, Derek hasn’t been entirely absent. Ellen acknowledged he provided a credit card with a P50,000 limit.
Generous? That depends.
By her computation—down to the decimal—it covers just 55.80 percent of Lili’s expenses. Not quite “Provider of the Year.”
As for claims that Derek’s camp pays for her household, Ellen disagreed.
She said she employs five nannies, two assigned to Lili, and pays them herself. Only one helper, she noted, is covered by Derek’s side.
Groceries? Hers. The house? Hers.
“I paid for my own groceries. They did not provide a house for me—I did that myself. Let’s not rewrite history.”
For Ellen, being a provider isn’t about optics. “He takes initiative. He doesn’t rely on words, flexing, or public image.”
Receipts, it seems, trump reputation.
Will Derek respond?
