VinFast unveils Limo Green 7-seater electric MPV

EVs have steadily become a more appealing means of transport. Yet for those that need to transport large groups of people, the affordable EV options have been few and for between. VinFast is hoping to address that with their latest model, the Limo Green MPV. The Limo Green is about the size of a Toyota Innova, as well as boasts of adequate ground clearance to traverse some rough road and even low floods.
SUV-inspired
It boasts of SUV-inspired looks but stays true to its MPV role by offering three rows of seating. The 2+3+2 seating layout makes it easy to access the last row thanks to a quick-folding seat in the second row. The exterior features VinFast’s signature V-design façade – illuminating a V with its LED daytime running lights. Headlamps sit just befow this signature V-shape. The sides are extremely sleek and minimalist, only accented by its 18-inch wheels on 235/55 series tires.
Passengers will enjoy its interior amenities that include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth & Wi-Fi connectivity. It’s linked to a four-speaker sound system. This monitor also serves as the display for the reverse camera with rear parking assist. Passengers get USB charging ports in the first and second rows to charge phones and other devices.
Besides passengers, the Limo Green can also haul. It can carry up to 550-kg of cargo and has a trunk capacity of 126-liters with the third row seats still up. It is expandable to 607-liters when the third-row seats are folded. With both the second and third-row seats folded, it can hold up to 1,245 liters worth of luggage.
A greener option
The EV is powered by a 60.13-kWh battery that can drive the car as far as 450-km on a full charge. The electric motor produces 201-hp and 280-Nm of torque to power the front wheels. It’s also capable of DC fast charging, taking as little as 30 minutes to charge from 10-percent to 70-percent battery life. Buyers will definitely appreciate its free a 7.4-kWh wall charger.
Astute car afficionados may notice the Limo Green is rather light on luxuries and features. This is because it was primarily designed for business and fleet use. VinFast anticipates this vehicle to be favored by corporate or business fleets, ride-hailing operators, corporate shuttle service, and even hotel and tourism transportation services.
VinFast claims that the Limo Green’s running costs are much lower than comparable gasoline and diesel-powered MPVs. In addition, it also has reduced maintenance requirements. VinFast Philippines plans to explore flexible ownership terms for fleet buyers, including battery-related programs to further lower upfront costs and reduce long-term risks.
The VinFast Limo Green is available in two colors: silver and black, with a price of P1,099,000 with battery subscription (not including monthly subscription fees), and P1,399,000 when the battery is purchased with the vehicle.
With every purchase, VinFast offers perks like a seven-year vehicle warranty, a ten-year battery warranty, and covered by the brand’s Residual Value Guarantee, where the vehicle’s resale price is guaranteed within a set number of years. There are free charging tickets or preferential rate packages when charging at V-Green charging stations.
