Search and retrieval operations are ongoing for an eight-year-old boy who reportedly fell into the Tullahan River in Barangay Tinajeros, Malabon City.
The incident occurred along Sisa Extension–Goldendale Extension on Thursday, Feb. 19.
According to the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), the incident was reported at around 4:52 p.m. through the Malabon Command Center.
Personnel from the Malabon DRRMO, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Malabon City Police Station (MCPS), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Barangay Tinajeros officials, and volunteers are conducting retrieval operations in the area.
Responders are focusing on the riverbanks and nearby sections where the child was last seen as authorities continue to comb the river.
