An explainer on the Philippine Kings League Spring 2026 Season

Philippine Kings League Spring 2026 is here! With ten teams and an updated format, fans can expect more exciting Honor of Kings games at the highest level.

PKL Spring 2026 Season Week 1
This weekend opens the new format with all best-of-5s during the Regular Season!

PKL Spring 2026 is expanding to 10 teams, up from last season’s 8!
The league will be composed of six invited teams and four teams from the Open Series for a full season of explosive HOK Esports.
The Regular Stage will kick off in spring, pitting each team against every other team in a single round robin for a total of 45 best-of-5s. The top two teams qualify for the Playoffs, while the 3rd-6th teams advance through the Play-Ins. The bottom four teams are eliminated.
Both the Play-Ins and Playoffs will be best-of-7, opening the door to Ultimate Battles. Play-Ins will let two more teams into the Playoffs.
The Playoffs are a double-elimination bracket, played on March 27-29, 2026. This tournament culmination will determine the champions of the PKL Spring 2026 Season and the region’s representative to the Honor of Kings World Cup 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this July.
