Students and personnel of the City of Malabon University (CMU) were evacuated on Thursday, Feb. 19, after the school received a security threat involving members of the campus community and its facilities.
University officials immediately implemented emergency protocols and coordinated with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and local authorities.
Security presence on campus was heightened, while inspections of buildings and vehicles were conducted as a precaution.
The administration said there was no confirmed immediate danger at the time but assured that authorities are conducting a thorough investigation.
Students were advised to shift to asynchronous classes for the day.
Officials urged the university community to remain calm and to rely only on official announcements for updates, emphasizing that the safety of students and staff remains the top priority.
