The city government of Pasay has officially opened the Loading Bay along Roxas Boulevard, providing commuters with a safer and more organized boarding area.
Ferdinand Lee, head of the Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office (TPMO), said the designated loading bay is now available for passengers of public utility jeepneys bound for Sucat, Alabang, Imus, and Dasmariñas in Cavite.
Lee added that the facility, located in front of the Heritage Hotel, was established to offer commuters a safe and convenient area to board their rides without standing along the main road.
He said that the opening of the loading bay aims to improve traffic flow along Roxas Boulevard by preventing jeepneys from loading and unloading passengers indiscriminately along the highway.
By centralizing passenger pick-up at the designated area, the TPMO hopes to reduce congestion, minimize obstruction caused by public transport, and enhance road safety for both motorists and pedestrians.
Commuters are encouraged to proceed directly to the Roxas Boulevard Loading Bay when taking jeepneys bound for Sucat, Alabang, Imus, and Dasmariñas, and to cooperate with traffic enforcers to ensure smooth and orderly operations.
