The city government of Caloocan has handed over 10,000 units of various computer equipment to the Schools Division Office (SDO) at the Caloocan Convention Center on Thursday, Feb. 19.
These equipment aims to aid the ongoing digitalization of learning processes aimed to benefit teachers and students.
The gadgets include 8,983 tablets, 1,000 laptops, smart boards and robotics equipment which will be used in the delivery of synchronous and asynchronous classes.
Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan reiterated his commitment in improving the city's education system for the school and its stakeholders.
It is my dream to have smart classrooms in every school in Caloocan and we are closer to achieving this dream),” he said.
“Tinitiyak ko sa inyo, sa ilalim ng aking termino, patuloy tayong mamumuhunan, at bibigyan natin ng halaga at suporta ang bawat mag-aaral at guro sa ating lungsod (I assure you that under my term, we will continue to invest and we will provide value and support to every student and teachers in our city),” he added.
Mayor Malapitan encouraged the SDO to maximize the use of their new equipment and assured them of the city government’s support.
These new tools are a stepping stone to further develop your skills and talents. I hope you feel that I and the entire city government are with you in your mission to shape our youth to be useful to society),” he said.
