ILOILO CITY—Police seized suspected shabu worth P39.4 million in Western Visayas from Feb. 1 to 15.
Police Regional Office-6 chief Police Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan said 5.8 kilos of shabu were recovered from 86 drug suspects in 65 anti-drug operations. Thirty-four suspects were considered high-value individuals.
“This accomplishment reflects not only the relentless efforts of our police officers but also the strong partnership between law enforcement and the community,” Ligan said.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) confiscated 3.4 kilos of shabu from 30 drug suspects, followed by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) with 974 grams from 35 individuals, and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 with 805 grams of shabu.
Police said significant anti-drug operations were conducted in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, and Guimaras provinces.
