The Southern Police District (SPD) confiscated P1.02 million worth of shabu and arrested two men in a buy-bust operation in Taguig City on Feb. 17.
Police identified the suspects as alias Miko, 29, and Albert, 49.
They were nabbed in the operation conducted in Barangay Santa Ana, Taguig, by operatives of the SPD's District Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the District Intelligence Division and Taguig Police Sub-Station 4.
During the transaction, police recovered 50 grams of shabu, buy-bust money, and a cell phone from Miko.
A subsequent search led to the recovery of an additional 100 grams of shabu from Albert, bringing the total confiscated drugs to 150 grams.
The police will file a complaint against the two suspects for violations of Section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) and 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
"This million-peso haul serves as a stern warning to those attempting to establish new drug networks in our jurisdiction," said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD district director.
