Man arrested in Taguig over lascivious conduct case

Police arrested a 21-year-old man for lascivious conduct and violation of the Safe Spaces Act in Taguig City on Feb. 16. 

The suspect, identified as alias Andoy and was listed as a most wanted person, was nabbed on MLQ Street in Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig. 

The operation was conducted by the Southern Police District’s District Mobile Force Battalion in coordination with the District Special Operations Unit and the Taguig police’s Warrant and Subpoena Section. 

The warrants of arrest against him were issued on Feb. 16 by Presiding Judge Byron San Pedro of the Taguig Family Court Branch 15 for cases of lascivious conduct under Section 5-B of the Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) and violation of Section 11-B of Republic Act 11313 (Safe Spaces Act). 

Section 11-B refers to “acts such as making offensive body gestures at someone, and exposing private parts for the sexual gratification of the perpetrator with the effect of demeaning, harassing, threatening or intimidating the offended party including flashing of private parts, public masturbation, groping, and similar lewd sexual actions.” 

The court set the bail at P180,000 for the lascivious conduct case and P3,000 for the Safe Spaces Act charge.
