The missing widow of the late former Barangay Balibago, Angeles City Captain Rodelio Mamac was found dead on Monday, Feb. 16.
Police identified the victim as businesswoman Maria Teresa “Tess” Mamac.
Her body was unearthed in her house in Angeles on Monday, Feb. 16, during a thorough search of her property days after she was reported missing on Feb. 12.
Her remains were found near a septic tank beside a former piggery. She was positively identified by her children.
HER remains were unearthed in this area of her house.
Police said her remains were turned over a funeral home for proper disposition and will undergo autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Angeles Mayor Jon Lazatin II has ordered the police to locate a person of interest identified only as Doc.
Angeles Rep. Carmelo Lazatin Jr. strongly condemned her murder.
He offered a P200,000 reward for information on the suspect.
"There is no room for such a heinous crime in a moral, civilized society. I pray that the perpetrator will be swiftly brought to justice.”
The Angeles City police station is conducting follow-up investigation and vowed to hold those responsible for her death accountable.
