The Provincial Government of Bataan has taken delivery of seven Radar RD6 Econ 73kWh four-wheel-drive electric pickup trucks following a turnover ceremony held on January 19 at the 1Bataan Command Center in Orani. The event was attended by provincial and municipal officials, together with representatives from UAAGI Auto Group.
According to the provincial government, the electric pickup trucks will be assigned to support emergency response, disaster preparedness, environmental protection, and other on-ground public service functions. The deployment forms part of ongoing efforts to improve mobility for frontline operations while introducing electric vehicles into the provincial fleet.
Provincial officials said the use of electric vehicles aligns with longer-term objectives that include lowering emissions, managing operating costs, and ensuring dependable transport for government services. The Radar RD6 units are expected to be used in daily operations, including situations that require four-wheel-drive capability.
The Radar RD6 Econ is equipped with a 73-kWh battery and a four-wheel-drive electric powertrain. The model is rated at up to 381 PS and 485 Nm of torque, figures cited by the manufacturer as suitable for varied terrain and utility-focused applications. Payload capacity is listed at up to one ton, supported by a reinforced unibody structure that incorporates high-strength steel.
As a fully electric vehicle, the RD6 produces zero tailpipe emissions and removes the need for fuel consumption associated with internal combustion engines. UAAGI Auto Group said the model’s electric drivetrain also reduces routine maintenance requirements, contributing to lower overall operating costs for fleet use. Warranty coverage includes five years or 150,000 kilometers for the vehicle and eight years or 200,000 kilometers for the high-voltage battery system.
The Radar RD6 is marketed locally under the Radar EV Pickup brand, which draws on Geely’s electric vehicle platform and engineering resources. The model is positioned as a utility-focused electric pickup designed for government and commercial applications.
With the addition of these seven electric pickup trucks, the Bataan provincial government expands its operational fleet with vehicles intended for public service use while incorporating electrified transport into official operations.
