Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano promptly addressed complaints from concerned citizens regarding congestion and sanitation issues along four city streets.
Rubiano directed the city’s Barangay Response and Clearing Operations (BaRCO) to inspect Sta. Monica, Progreso, Buendia, and Arnaiz Streets.
In compliance, the BaRCO team conducted clearing and cleaning operations to restore order and ensure the safety and convenience of motorists and residents.
During the inspection, the team found illegally parked vehicles, unattended carts, vendors occupying sidewalks, and accumulated garbage obstructing roads and pedestrian pathways.
Rubiano reiterated the city government’s commitment to maintaining discipline and cleanliness in public spaces. She also called on the barangays covering the affected streets to sustain the improvements initiated by BaRCO and to work closely with the city government in keeping roads clear and orderly.
The local government expressed hope that, through continued cooperation among barangay officials and the community, the gains achieved through the clearing operations will be preserved.
