Mayor Charo Sy-Alvarado-Mendoza officiated the marriage of 32 couples at the Feb-Ibig Kasalang Bayan, held at a resort in Barangay Palapat, Hagonoy, Bulacan, on Thursday, Feb. 12.

The said mass wedding was attended and witnessed by the couples' parents, godfathers, and godmothers.

The event is every February and is followed by various programs.

She advised the newlyweds to be faithful and provide everything for their marriage to be successful.

"Base sa karanasan ko for almost 25 years in marriage, hindi lahat ng pagsasama ay masaya, hindi lahat ng araw ay laging magkabati. Parti 'yan ng mga pag-subok upang mapatatag ang buhay mag-asawa. Isapusong lagi ang pagmamahalan at pagkakaunawaan. Lagi tayong nagkakaintindihan sa isa't-isa, nagsasakpripisyo, nagbibigayan at nagsisilbi sa isa't isa, nang sa gayon ay hindi mapigtas ang kordon o tali ng buhay mag-asawa sa bawa't unos na darating," (Based on my experience of almost 25 years in marriage, not all relationships are happy, and not everyday is free from conflict. These are part of the trials that strengthen married life. Always keep love and understanding in your heart. We must constantly strive to understand each other, make sacrifices, give way, and serve one another, so that the bond of marriage will not be broken by any storm that comes)," the mayor said.
