62-year-old man arrested for statutory acts of lasciviousness

Police arrested a 62-year-old man, listed as a most wanted person, for statutory acts of lasciviousness in Taguig on Feb. 12.

The suspect, identified as alias Nicanor, nabbed in Barangay Pembo, Taguig, by a joint team composed of the Southern Police District’s District Special Operations Unit, District Intelligence Division, District Mobile Force Battalion’s Intelligence Section, and the Taguig police.

He was arrested based on a warrant of arrest in a case for violation of Article 336 (acts of lasciviousness) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act).

The warrant of arrest with a recommended bail of P200,000 was issued on Feb. 11 by Presiding Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan of the Taguig Regional Trial Court Branch 69.

The suspect was brought to the SPD office for documentation.
