Sta. Lucia Golf Tour marks its 20th year with a special offering for its club players by bringing its annual tournament to Da Nang, Vietnam from April 22 to 26.
Celebrating two decades of the highly revered competition for the 11 golf courses it manages, Sta. Lucia Realty takes 140 members to Ba Na Hills Golf Club and Legend Da Nang Golf Resort for five days of fun and contest with Orchard being the defending champion.
Ten slots will be available for each of the clubs, and more could be available if entries exceed the limit.
"For our 20th year, we want it bigger and better. Playing in Vietnam should be very special for our players," said Tom Clemente, the amiable general manager of Pinewoods in Baguio City and chairman of the ways and means committee of the Sta. Lucia Golf Tour.
The entry fee, worth almost P42,000, includes five-star accommodations, green fees, meals, and transfers.
Philippine Airlines is giving a 15-percent discount for those who will sign up with their respective clubs.
There will be four classes -- one regular division, two senior divisions, and one for the ladies.
Tournament format for the 36-hole competition is stroke play, with the awards going to the best teams and clubs.
