Road crash leads to punching in Antipolo City; 1 hurt

Two motorcycle-riding men allegedly under the influence of alcohol crashed into two other individuals onboard another motorcycle in Barangay Inarawan, Antipolo City, Rizal, early Thursday morning, Feb. 12.

The Antipolo City Police said the two intoxicated men were driving along Marcos Highway when they recklessly swerved into the opposite lane of the road and hit another motorcycle driven by a man and his partner. The crash caused both vehicles and their occupants to tumble, causing injuries to the female passenger's left foot.

One of the intoxicated men suddenly attacked the driver of the other motorcycle by punching him in the face, prompting bystanders to pacify him.

First responders immediately brought the four individuals to the hospital, where they received treatment for their injuries.

Meanwhile, the police said they are currently investigating the incident, saying that charges may be filed against the two drunk men, which may include physical injuries and damage to property.
