MPD announces road closures, rerouting for 125th anniversary celebration
The Manila Police District (MPD) has announced road closures and traffic rerouting schemes on Friday, February 13, 2026, in line with the celebration of its 125th founding anniversary.
According to the advisory, road closures will take effect starting at 6 a.m. onwards.
The affected area includes the stretch of the United Nations (U.N.) Avenue from General Luna Street to San Marcelino Street.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes:
Vehicles traveling eastbound along U.N. Avenue will be required to turn right onto General Luna Street, proceed toward Paco Park, and continue to their respective destinations.
Vehicles traveling westbound along U.N. Avenue will need to turn left onto San Marcelino Street to reach their destinations.
Authorities advise motorists to expect heavy traffic in the area and to plan their trips accordingly.
The MPD is set to hold activities marking its 125 years of service.
